Commercialisation Study and Treasures
I have just completed another enjoyable and interesting project working with the brilliantly positive and professional team at Chelmsford Museum – exploring strategies to increase revenue and creative opportunities to enhance the visitor experience.
One of the perks of being a business consultant in the cultural sector is all the ‘treasures’ I’m lucky to see. The images below show a few that caught my eye at Chelmsford Museum:
A Gold Diadem, an exquisite and extremely rare item dated to around 2500BC. According to the Museum: ‘If unwound the gold strip is likely to have been used like a crown or choker, possibly for a woman but certainly for someone of great power and importance’

A Dior beaded pill box hat from the 1960s

A Saxon gold and garnet pendant from the 7th century

Located around 30 minutes by train from London, this beautifully presented gem of a Museum is definitely worth a visit!
